What is Q4 2025?
"Q4 results" or "Q4 2025" refers to the quarterly results for Q4 of calendar year 2025 — the period October–December 2025. The term is also commonly used for the reporting season that follows, in which most publicly listed companies publish their results for that quarter.
Not every company counts its quarters this way: companies with a deviating fiscal year label the same calendar period differently. Apple, for instance, starts its fiscal year in October — the period October–December is its fiscal quarter 1.
In the US, the SEC sets fixed deadlines: large accelerated filers must file their quarterly report (Form 10-Q) within 40 days of quarter-end, smaller companies get 45 days. In Europe, most large companies report voluntarily within a similar window, even though there is no single statutory deadline.
When does Q4 2025 earnings season start?
In our calendar data, Q4 2025 results fell within the period 12/29 - 04/05/2026.
The busiest stretch was CW 7 (02/09 - 02/15/2026): 1114 companies alone published results that week.
Earnings season typically starts around two weeks after the quarter ends and runs for up to six weeks. In the US, the big banks traditionally open the season before most other companies report in the following weeks.
Because many companies publish as close to their own deadline as possible, a handful of weeks end up especially busy — usually around four to six weeks after quarter-end.
Recap: in Q4 2025 earnings season, 6479 of 6479 tracked companies published results.
The busiest week (CW 7 (02/09 - 02/15/2026)) carries 1114 reports — around 17% of all reports this season.
The phases of the Q4 2025 earnings season
An earnings season is not spread evenly across its weeks. Based on our calendar data we split it into three phases: the opening covers roughly the first 15 % of all report dates, the main phase roughly the middle 70 %, and the closing phase roughly the last 15 %.
Opening
CW 1–4 (December 29, 2025 – January 25, 2026): 384 report dates, about 6 % of the season.
The first reporters set the tone: their results and above all their outlooks shape the expectations the market carries into the following weeks. In the US, the big banks traditionally report first.
Largest companies in this phase: Taiwan Semiconductor, JPMorgan Chase & Co., Johnson & Johnson, Intel, Bank of America
Main phase
CW 5–11 (January 26, 2026 – March 15, 2026): 5174 report dates, about 80 % of the season.
Now the bulk of companies report, and on some days results from large corporations follow each other in quick succession. If you hold many stocks, these are the weeks to watch most closely.
Largest companies in this phase: NVIDIA, Apple, Alphabet A, Alphabet, Microsoft
Closing phase
CW 12–14 (March 16, 2026 – April 5, 2026): 921 report dates, about 14 % of the season.
The stragglers come last: often smaller companies that use their full filing deadlines, and corporations with a non-calendar fiscal year whose quarter ends later.
Largest companies in this phase: Micron Technology, Tencent, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China A, Agricultural Bank of China A, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China
Central-bank rate decisions also fall into the main phase: Fed on January 28, 2026, ECB on February 5, 2026. Company results and central-bank signals then hit the market in the same days. All ECB and Fed rate decisions
About the data: every date counts towards the quarter it is assigned to in our data feed — usually the company's fiscal quarter. Companies with a non-calendar fiscal year can therefore appear outside the usual window, which explains isolated dates at the start or end of the overview. If a company has several dates in the same quarter, each date counts separately.
